Minister of Transport Kazem Vajan Al-Yamami announced on Thursday the approval of the State Consultative Council for the establishment of a civil aviation academy, noting that the teaching in the academy will not be limited to those who have a master's degree.
"The State Consultative Council approved the establishment of a civil aviation academy and pending the approval of the project by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers," Hammami said in a statement received by Al-Tijah Press.
"The Board recommended several points, including that all directors of the scientific departments stipulated in the project representatives within the Board of Directors of the Academy in addition to the selection of the Director General of the directors of administrative departments."
He added that "teaching in the Academy will not be limited to those who have a master's degree," noting that "there are scientific expertise of pilots and other air specialties who do not hold high degrees and can teach."
