    At least 13 people have been killed in southern California due to floods and droughts and landslides caused by a powerful storm that also hit a number of houses, police said.
     
    US authorities said Wednesday they found bodies in the rubble and rubble in the city of Monticito, northwest of Los Angeles.
     
    "We are very sorry to inform you that this incident has so far led to 13 confirmed deaths," said Santa Barbara County Police Chief Bill Brown, warning that the toll is likely to rise.
     
    Santa Barbara firefighters said on their Twitter account that they were using police dogs to search under the rubble of houses destroyed by the storm, landslides and landslides for the remaining victims, after more than 20 people were missing.
