    US Ambassador Douglas Seelman said his country will participate in a large delegation at the Kuwait Conference on Iraq Reconstruction scheduled for mid-February.
    “The United States will participate with a large delegation at the conference to support the reconstruction of Iraq to be held in Kuwait,” Sileman said in a press statement during his visit to Karbala.
    He noted that “this visit is the first of the province of Karbala and the US government looks forward to helping Iraq in the reconstruction after the defeat of ISIS.”
    The conference is likely to be held in Kuwait from Feb. 12 to 14, with the participation of countries, organizations and companies.
    The government estimated that it needed $ 100 billion to rebuild the devastated areas of the ISIS.

    So Screwball/Diamond would the RV be after this date or could something happen before and they(the US) will be there to guide?

    The Conference

    On 13th February 2018, and within series of events of the Kuwait International Conference of Iraq Reconstruction and Development, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) will organize jointly with the National Investment Commission of the Republic of Iraq, the World Bank (WB) and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) a conference entitled Invest in Iraq which will be attended by investors from all over the world. Iraq shall present the feasibility studies and licenses for 60 key investment projects with total amount exceeds $ 85 billion. The WB will support such projects by offering guarantees, compensation of first loss, and markets exploration. This conference would be the first of its kind to be supported by the WB and targeting investments

    What do you think? Launching major initiatives, investment open to international investors, reconstructions banks? What would be the prefect time?

    Not  the first.....the first was the European stabilisation Plan,,,back then they raised the quivakent of 100 billion dollars

    The European stabilisation Plan consisted of an overnight change in currency, axes, welfare and private sector involvement? Sound familiar?
