BAGHDAD - Sadr's leader Moqtada al-Sadr said on Wednesday he would not allow the Baath to wreak havoc in Iraq once again, commenting on political statements about the party's banned Baath party's intention to return to the political arena in the coming elections.
"It is shameful to be afraid of the return of the Baath in the coming elections," Sadr wrote on his personal page on the Twitter social networking site.
The deputy chairman of the popular crowd Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes warned that the Baath Party led by Izzat al-Douri is now organizing its ranks and infiltrating the government departments and seeks to enter the elections lists and personalities distributed on different lists.
