    [ltr]The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers called on the representatives of the diplomatic missions to follow up on the implementation of the commitments announced by their countries at the Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq held last week (Monday 12 February to Wednesday 14 February).[/ltr]
    [ltr]In a statement received by Mawazine News, the Secretariat said that "in the light of Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi's directive during the cabinet meeting held after the end of the International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq in Kuwait, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al- Diplomacy to pursue the implementation of the commitments announced by their countries at the said conference, which was held last week. "[/ltr]
    [ltr]The statement said that "this came during his chairmanship of the meeting which was held in the building of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in the presence of the heads of the (the advisers, the National Investment Authority and the Reconstruction Fund of the affected areas) and the deputies of the Ministries of Finance and Electricity and a number of officials and representatives of relevant bodies in Iraq, To the European Union, the United Nations and the World Bank. "[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The importance of following up the results and outputs of the conference and dealing with loans, grants and investment opportunities in accordance with the frameworks developed by Iraq in cooperation with the World Bank."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The statement added that "the meeting was presented the form prepared by the World Bank for details of the funds that are committed by States to operate in Iraq and include areas of spending according to the interest of the participating countries and channels of management," pointing out that "the Iraqi side stressed the importance of commitment by the parties with time limits to schedule work, Priorities of the Iraqi government in the current stage of stability, and to begin to invest in various areas in all provinces. "[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq was launched on Monday, February 12, 2018, and concluded on Wednesday (February 14th).[/ltr]
    [ltr]During the conference, Iraq received non-sovereign loans, financing and project guarantees amounting to $ 11.61 billion, through $ 1 billion Kuwait, 0.5 reconstruction exports from Saudi Arabia, $ 5,200 billion, $ 210 million, United Kingdom, $ 3.5 billion, and 1.2 billion US dollars), in addition to sovereign loans[/ltr]
