    confirmed the study of the Central Bank of Iraq, on Thursday that the expansion of the granting of licenses to domestic banks are not accompanied by an increase of banking services, noting that the community dealing with banks in Iraq is limited. 

    In a special study of banks, credit and financial depth between Iraq and the international experiment prepared by a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank Ahmed Abrehi that "the expansion of granting licenses to private banks in Iraq did not coincide with the increase banking services, and the spatial spread is still limited.

    The study added that "three government banks provided 71.9% of the total credit, while shares of 44 banks Ahli only about 10% of the total credit," asserting that "large banks did not show a significant difference from the rest, if these banks contributed to the activity of 20% of Total credit granted ". 

    The study continued that "the social interaction with banks in Iraq is limited, where in 2014 found that the proportion of men aged 15 years and above who have bank accounts 14.6%, while the global average 64.1%," explaining that "the reasons for this phenomenon is the inability of banks In addition to the importance of easy to open and move accounts and security reasons, and also avoid the risk of banking crises or liquidity and others. 

    A previous report by the Central Bank of Iraq, that some commercial banks do not have any investment, noting that some letters of guarantee come courtesy of relatives and friends.
