    Information / Baghdad ..
The Security and Defense Committee on Wednesday revealed that some Gulf countries have lobbied the United States to prevent Iraq from developing its military system, stressing that the American side is dealing with Iraq with duality and lack of respect regarding the security cooperation agreement.
"Iraq has a special armament policy, and all that is issued by the American side does not mean anything to us," said MP Imad Jokhna. "The United States is dealing with double standards and does not respect the agreement on security cooperation with Iraq."
"The Iraqi army in general is following the Russian doctrine of arming and training, but the need today requires a variety of sources of armament relying on more than one country," he added. "The United States objected to arming Iraq with the Russian air defense system ( S-400 ) Although Iraq did not offer to buy the system mentioned, but he put forward the idea only. "
"The Gulf states are not pleased with Iraq's possession of the Russian air defense system, despite the possession of it, where they pressed the American side to prevent Iraq from obtaining it," he said. Ending / 25 n
