The Jordanian government is considering the possibility of distributing free land to employees in the new city under conditions that the government is studying.

According to the Jordanian newspaper "Al-Dustour", "the state's land area will be limited and then the possibility of distributing it to public servants and military retirees, free of charge or at nominal prices, under specific conditions."

The most prominent of these conditions, that "is built on the ground without selling or waiver, in order to stimulate the economy.
The move comes through either the State Housing Association, the trade unions or the military pensioners' institution, the paper quoted an informed source as saying.

In October, the Jordanian government announced the launch of a national project to create a new city, one of the most important projects and one of the most important future steps to provide better quality of life for citizens, improve the quality of services and provide adequate housing for them at a lower cost.

The project is a real translation of the vision of Jordan 2025, which includes promoting public-private partnerships, accelerating the implementation of e-government, and developing the investment climate and business environment in the Kingdom.
