Europe calls "Facebook" to cooperate on the data transfer scandal
Follow - up / ... The European Commission called on Friday, the company Facebook to "full cooperation" with the European investigators, after a scandal involving the transfer of personal data Facebook users to "Cambridge Analytica" private company .
"What worries me most is the information of the European citizens who have been plagued by the scandal, " European Commissioner for Legal Affairs Vera Gorova said after a recent "open and constructive" meeting with Vice President of the Facebook group Cheryl Sandberg .
"Facebook has had full cooperation with European investigators," Gurova said, noting that she had "advised" that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg would agree to an invitation to attend the European Parliament to explain the situation .
Due to the accumulation of controversies and criticisms, Facebook has in recent days made many arguments for its "past mistakes" and promised to improve its performance .
Facebook has faced an onslaught since the Cambridge Analytic scandal to capture personal user data and penetrate their privacy in order to develop software that predicts and influences voters' voice in order to tilt President Trump's campaign in 2016. 2
