In its annual report on human rights around the world, the US State Department used the term "West Bank" and "Gaza Strip" rather than "occupied territories".
The US State Department considered reports of violations by the Israeli occupation authorities of Palestinian human rights as "allegations" and "charges".
The report was published on Friday, and contrary to previous reports, the chapter dealing with Israel and the occupied territories was called "Israel, the Golan Heights, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip."
The Foreign Ministry claimed that the talk of a technical change was adopted in recent months by several agencies and bodies in the US administration.
