    The website "egypt independent" in a report that Saudi Arabia signed an agreement with the Vatican to build churches for Christian worshipers in the Kingdom.
    For the first time in the history of the Kingdom, Riyadh signed a cooperation agreement with the Vatican to build churches for Christians to call for the important role of religions and cultures in renouncing violence, extremism, terrorism, And its role in achieving security and stability in the world.
    The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul-Karim Al-Issa and the President of the Pontifical Council for Interfaith Dialogue in the Vatican Cardinal of the French Catholic Church Jean-Louis Tauran signed the agreement to achieve common goals between the two sides.
    The agreement also provides for the establishment of a joint, coordinated committee with two representatives from each side to organize future meetings. The committee is expected to meet once every two years and will meet between Rome and a city chosen by the Muslim World League, according to the Saudi press.
    The Vatican's Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran and his accompanying delegation arrived in Riyadh on April 14. The visit included a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
