    Financial and administrative corruption has become the most prominent feature of the successive governments of Iraq after 2003, where the Chairman of the Services Committee in the Baghdad Provincial Council Ali Jassim al-Hamdawi, the loss of half of the funds allocated to the provincial council during the previous years, and going to the pockets of corrupt, noting that the outgoing federal government now bear The biggest responsibility for the low level of services in the capital and the loss of money. 

    Al-Hamaidawi said in a press statement that half of the money allocated to the services of the capital Baghdad during the previous years went into the pockets of corrupters, blaming the federal government for the greater responsibility on the back of the low level of services for not providing the crisis money to the local government and the secretariat of Baghdad. 

    He added that the current Baghdad government has received only a few funds from its budget, contrary to previous local governments, stressing that services in Baghdad is not the level of ambition due to lack of financial allocations and the aggravation of corruption.

    He also pointed out that some strategic projects have stopped working due to non-allocation of funds, noting that there is a problem is the lack of interest of the central government and the Secretariat of Baghdad and the province and not give it priority. 

    He pointed out that the transfer of powers caused confusion in the work of the Baghdad Provincial Council in terms of authority and intersection of power, explaining that the services inside the capital Baghdad and its parties is not the required level in the absence of financial allocations.
