Because of its repressive practices .. Amnesty International: Iran to stop the "arbitrary detention"

Because of its repressive and illegal human rights practices, Amnesty International called on the authorities of the Iranian regime to respect peaceful protests and to immediately stop the indiscriminate detention of peaceful demonstrators.
According to a report published by the DW website, the organization reports that the Iranian government is using weapons to repel civilian demonstrators in security clashes, as well as evidence that prison authorities in Iran are torturing prisoners.
The Amnesty International said in a statement issued on Wednesday that its reports that the Iranian authorities arrested and detained hundreds of people illegally, and put them in prisons and detention centers and even illegal practices.
The DW report referred to the official statistics of the Iranian government on the death toll of last December's protest movement known as the "December uprising". These statistics indicate that the death toll in these protests reached at least 22.
"Their only crime is to launch peaceful slogans against poverty, price, suffocation and corruption in Iran," the German radio report commented on the figure.
Amnesty International's Middle East and North Africa official, Philip Luther, expressed concern over the increase in arbitrary arrests and repression of Iranian protesters. "Iranian government officials must protect the security of citizens, not repress them with violence," he said.
Luther said that the practices of the Iranian regime are crushing all human rights and human rights commitments in Iran and even international rights.
Amnesty International concluded its statement by stressing the need to release all peaceful detainees in the various protests in Iran, as well as stop those responsible for violating the rights of citizens rights and legal.
