Deputy to the "light": Parliament session will remain open for several days because of the sharp split on the largest bloc

    Light News / Baghdad
sharp division witnessed the first session of the new parliament , the fourth session between the political blocs centered around two main blocs of the various Sunni and Shiite coalitions in isolation from the Kurds.

The oldest MP Mohammed Ali al-Zini headed the session of the House of Representatives, which saw the names of deputies for the session (2018-2022), and the swearing-in of deputies in the power, which was unable to block the political blocs to elect a president and two deputies.
MP for the province of Nineveh Mahasen Hamdoun, confirmed that the blocks of construction led by the conquest and the law and reconstruction led by victory and the rest did not estimate to collect the number of seats required and which achieves the majority so far, making the parliament session open for several days.
"The dispute over which party will form the largest bloc will take a long time and create a tense political climate and conflicts that threaten the stability of the political scene, raise more street discontent and weaken confidence in the entire political process," Hamdoun said in a statement.
For his part, stressed the head of virtue bloc Ammar Tohma, the need for roundtable meeting of the winning blocs to remedy the sharp division deepened by the session of the first parliament.
"The first session of the parliament deepened the division between the political parties, which threatens further fragmentation and rupture, which will disrupt the

achievement of constitutional obligations in their specific times and delay the formation of the government and the consequent continued suffering of citizens," al-Tohmah said in a statement.
He added that "the state of division and trenching will negatively affect the implementation of the government program and the criteria and specifications of candidates for prime minister and the mechanisms of selection within the General Assembly of the parties involved in the two nuclei to compete on the formation of the largest bloc."
The leader of the Fatah alliance, Hadi al-Amiri, told a news conference following the adjournment of the parliamentary session that "the parliament session was raised to agree on the presidency of the parliament, which is usually the Sunni component." He explained that "the Kurdish brothers took a neutral stance."
"The opening of the first session of the parliament and the performance of the constitutional Yemen," said Amiri, stressing that "we have raised the session for deliberation because it is necessary to understand the presidency of the parliament, which usually have the Sunni component also identified two deputies, one of them Shiites and the other Kurds.
He pointed out that "we must open room for dialogues and discussions to reach a solution to this subject and within days we will return to the meeting and elect the new president of the parliament."
And on the formation of the largest parliamentary bloc, said Amiri, "We gave names signed by 150 deputies and brothers in the second party submitted a list of names of cluster officials, for example, Brother Abbadi signed 42 names while it is known to all that all members of the bloc are not with him and so for other blocs I do not want to mention its names. "
On the position of the Kurdish parliamentarians, Amiri explained, "Kurdish brothers took the side of neutrality because there was no opportunity to hold a debate and dialogue."
(25 seats) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (18 seats), which are engaged in negotiations to form a government joint program, they decided to join any of the two alliances, while the delegation of the two parties held several important meetings in Baghdad with the other blocs.
Parliament will elect a new president by a two-thirds majority of deputies, within 30 days of the first meeting, and then assigns the new president, the candidate of the largest bloc in parliament to form a government.
The Prime Minister in charge shall have 30 days to form the government and submit it to Parliament for approval by a majority vote.
