    The head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the Lebanese Parliament MP Yassin Jaber said on Thursday that the largest number of Arab visitors to Lebanon come from Iraq, pointing out that Iraq could be an important center for Lebanese exports.
    "Most of the Arab visitors to Lebanon come from Iraq," Jabir said in remarks published by Al-Hayat newspaper. "Some of them come to travel from Lebanon to another country, while others are either for recovery or for tourism, For the last two reasons. "
    He added that "Lebanon has a good breath for them, which years ago followed the policy of exemption from visa pre-approved as with the Gulf countries and the European Union and the United States, Australia and Canada," noting that "the Iraqi move facilitated the Lebanese move to Iraq to work and trade and look for opportunities Investment and thus help to strengthen relations and trade exchange, economic, cultural and tourism between the two countries. "
    Jaber pointed out that «Iraq can be an important center for Lebanese exports such as apples and fruits that can not be planted in Iraq», noting that «with the opening of land crossings between Lebanon and the Arab world and the opening of the port of Nisib through which the transfer of goods from Lebanon to Syria and then Jordan, We are working on opening the Bab al-Kamal crossing, through which goods are transported from Lebanon, then Syria and directly to Iraq, the easiest step for the Lebanese merchant. " He revealed that «work on some arrangements for the entry of Lebanese goods to Iraq».
    He pointed out that «last year traveled to Iraq from southern Lebanon about 40 thousand visitors in religious and other visits». He stressed that «Iraq is an important partner for Lebanon and essential in terms of economic and trade».
