The deputies of Nineveh province, a Sunni majority, expressed their resentment at the Iraqi parliament's refusal to vote for the candidate of the Ministry of Education.
The House of Representatives in a joint press conference held in parliament to challenge the meeting today, accusing parties and political parties to sell and buy ministerial positions with money.
"We will appeal to the ministers who were voted on today because what happened is to offer names in a selective form," MP Ahmad al-Jubouri told a joint news conference with MPs from Nineveh province.
He added that "we will call the Federal Court to review the registration of the civilized session because the quorum was not completed and many ministries were voted on without a quorum."
He said Jubouri that "the vote was blocked on the Minister of Education, although the quorum was complete and the only candidate for Nineveh and became the province without ministerial representation," saying that "Abdul Mahdi did not attend the meeting is another violation of the law and the internal system."
The Iraqi Council of Representatives in a meeting held earlier in the day of the vote on three of the ministers of the remaining eight remaining from the current federal government headed by Adel Abdul Mahdi.
The parliament voted to pass the post of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to Qusay al-Suhail, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Abdul-Amir Al-Hamdani and Minister of Planning and Development Cooperation Ali Nouri al-Dulaimi.
A parliamentary source told Shafak News that members of the parliament did not agree to give confidence to Sabah Khair al-Din al-Tai, minister of education, and to Hana Ananuel as minister of migration and displaced.
Thus, the federal government is still incomplete by not voting on the posts of five vacant ministers: Defense, Interior, Justice, Education, Migration and Displaced.
