Haidar al-Abadi, the former prime minister (2014-2018), witnessed parliamentary and popular demands to beat the corrupt and announce the start of an investigation into huge corruption files. Abadi confirms his involvement in the process of accountability of the corrupt, without clear results of these investigations.
