    Information / Baghdad ..
The Sadiqun parliamentary bloc confirmed on Saturday that the legislation to remove foreign forces, including US forces, is dependent on the response of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Adel Abdul Mahdi, and the Joint Operations Command on the inquiries addressed to them by the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee.
"The parliamentary security and defense committee has adopted the constitutional and legal frameworks before it begins to amend the strategic framework agreement or to legislate a new law to remove foreign forces, including US forces stationed inside Iraqi territory," MP Mohammad Karim said in a statement.
Karim added that "the Committee sent a number of queries to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the leadership of joint operations to answer them," noting that "the Committee and the House of Representatives are suspended at the present time until the arrival of answers from both sides."
"If the answers are unconvincing, the Security Committee and the House of Representatives will either decide to amend the strategic framework agreement or work on legislation to remove foreign forces, and of course this depends on the type of response," Karim said. Ending / 25
