Iranian proposal: foreign debt paid through Iraq

A government source said Iran would offer Iraq the idea of paying its debts to global companies instead.
Iranian President Hassan Rowhani arrived in Baghdad on Monday for a three-day visit.
Dr. Ihsan al-Shammari, adviser to the Council of Ministers, said in an interview with "Nass" and read by "Economy News" that "Rohani's visit will carry files of very important and decisive in the history of the two countries, including the common borders, Iraq's debt to Iran, And the Teluk file. "
He added that "the understandings will be on how to pay Iraq for its debts to Iran," noting that "Iran will put forward the idea, the rotation of its debts and through Iraq, the countries that request Iran, will pay Iraq according to the entitlements resulting from it, instead of taking the money from Iraq and then pay it to the rest of the countries, and this is a complicated process on the Iranian side being deprived of circulation of the dollar.
