called on Jawad al-Khalisi, on Friday, to cleanse the Iraqi army of corrupt elements and correct his faith, while noting that the Popular Mobilization is a positive phenomenon in resisting the oppressor, expressing his rejection of corrupt practices and the exploitation of names, abuse and injustice, under sectarian slogans.
Al-Khalisi said in a sermon Friday prayers in the city of Kadhimiya in Baghdad, that "all the controversy raised on the issue of dissolving the army is of no value and should not pay attention to it, the army must remain, but at the same time must be evaluated and strengthened and purified from corrupt elements. Attempts to dissolve armies, distract armies, or destroy armies in side wars are attempts to destroy the nation and the countries. "
He added, "The Iraqi army must remain and be stronger, and correct the faith and combat faith to be the army of the people in the face of oppressive forces, and not the army of the ruling organs to suppress and harm peoples and enter into side wars with our nation here or there," stressing that "the crowd Al-Shaabi is a positive phenomenon in resisting the oppressors, but we also reject corrupt practices, the exploitation of names, abuse and injustice, and some practices that were practiced, especially in the beginning, in which there was injustice to our nation's people and under sectarian slogans and so on.
