Deputy: Next weekend bring the Minister of Defense to the Parliament to investigate the import of riot weapons

Jassem al-Bukhati, a member of the Wisdom Movement, announced on Thursday that he had moved to bring Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari in parliament late next week on the back of his recent remarks accusing a third party of importing riot weapons.
Al-Bukhati told Al-Maaloumeh that "the statements of the Minister of Defense Najah Al-Shammari must not pass unnoticed after accusing a third party of importing anti-riot weapons, which were caused by many demonstrators."
He added that "the parliamentary security and defense committee is in the process of bringing him to parliament to investigate these statements made and to find out the reality of the importer."
He explained that "the end of next week as a date to bring the Minister of Defense in the parliament and know the authenticity of information leaked or not and to hold accountable and convict."
