The first legal comment on the sudden decision of the Iraqi president

[rtl]Shafak News / Legal expert Tareq Harb, today, Thursday, the resignation offered by the President of the Republic Barham Salih, will not take effect until a week has passed.[/rtl]
[rtl]"The resignation of the president of the republic will not take effect until seven days after the date it was submitted to parliament," Harb said in a Facebook post.[/rtl]
[rtl]He explained that "after this period elapses without being withdrawn, the Speaker of Parliament will replace him, as the Speaker of Parliament gathers the two presidents, due to the absence of a Vice President of the Republic, until a new President is elected within a month."[/rtl]
[rtl]And Iraqi President Barham Salih announced today, Thursday, his refusal to assign a candidate for a building bloc to head the government, Asaad Al-Eidani, while he decided to resign before the parliament.[/rtl]
