    A member of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, Ahmed Abdel-Jabbar, revealed contacts the US embassy had with Iraqi officials to ask them not to attend the condolence councils established on the spirit of the martyr Abu Mahdi, while he pointed out that the Sunnis were subjected to American blackmail.
    Abdul-Jabbar said in televised statements, followed by the "information", that "the American embassy contacted Iraqi officials after targeting the engineer and asked them not to attend the condolence councils based on his soul," noting that "this shows the extent of the American fear of the martyr."
    He added, "What the American administration has done to assassinate the martyr engineer and martyr Soleimani is no different from the style of terrorist groups," stressing that "Iraqi officials should not sit with the person who killed the engineer."
