Today, the American Patriot missile system was able to intercept two missiles targeting the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar Province.
A security source said to a local media, "The American Patriot system intercepted two missiles targeting the al-Asad base in al-Qaim."
He added that "one of the rockets occurred on the highway link Bin Heit and Haditha without any human casualties."
The United States left the Patriot missile system yesterday, Monday, as the move comes about two months after the American forces were attacked by Iranian ballistic missiles, according to what American and Iraqi military sources confirmed.
