[size=18]President of the Republic Barham Salih confirmed on Tuesday that there is a lot to do in order to eliminate the consequences of Anfal and mass killing, while he indicated that he will not participate in the memory of Anfal crime this year because of Corona.

Saleh said in a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the hideous Anfal crime, Alsumaria News received a copy of it that "most of the Iraqi people, without discrimination, became victims of the criminal policies of that dictatorial regime," noting that "it is our duty in all of the Iraqi government with all its official institutions to work for compensation Families of the Anfal martyrs, and strive to introduce the world to the crime of Anfal as a crime of genocide.

He added, "32 years have passed since the notorious crime of Anfal, that crime committed unjustly and aggressively by the defunct Baathist regime, but the pain and tragedies of this inhuman crime are unforgettable, like the rest of the dictatorial crimes whose identity has become injustice, persecution, and mass killing against the people of Kurdistan and the Iraqi people in all its spectrum." He pointed out that "the horrendous, notorious crime committed by the Saddam regime 32 years ago, which was called Al-Anfal, is evidence of the bloodyness of this regime and its contempt for the blood of Iraqis and striking it against the wall of all human principles and values."

He continued, "Although the perpetrators of the Anfal crime received their just punishment, but we still have a lot to do to eliminate the consequences of the Anfal and the mass killing, it is known that the majority of the Iraqi people, without discrimination, have become victims of the criminal policies of this regime, and for this reason it is our duty to all of us In the Iraqi government with all its official institutions, work to compensate the families of the martyrs, identify their remains and transfer them to their hometowns, and work to develop and build their areas and advance them in all service, health, social and economic aspects, and strive to introduce the world to the Anfal crime as a crime of genocide so that It is not allowed to repeat it again. "

He emphasized that "the Baathist regime used to consider all practices and ways to reach its goals as legitimate, and events show that the Kurds have many tragedies with the Baathist regime, and we can say that the Anfal shows the real ugly face of the Baathist regime's policy towards the Kurds," explaining that "this year and because of the spread of a pandemic, as a benefit 19 Worldwide, we did not have the opportunity, as required, to share with you the memory of losing loved ones, but their memory will remain alive in the hearts of every member of this nation.
