Today, Thursday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received a phone call from the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said, in a statement received by "progress" a copy of it, that "today, Thursday, a telephone conversation took place between the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi and His Eminence, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr."
The statement added, "Mr. Al-Sadr valued, during the call, the efforts of the House of Representatives in approving the budget law, and the importance of the parliament’s role in monitoring the application of the provisions of the law in an optimal manner, to serve the citizen and meet his needs."
