The General Authority of Customs published, on Tuesday, a statistic that included the total operations of seizure, destruction, re-issuance, and facilities for the entry of medical oxygen tanks entering through its customs centers during last March.
The authority stated in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that “the seizures by cadres in the customs centers amounted to (212) violations and (51) violations that were seized by the staff of the Investigation and Combating Smuggling Department and referred to the judiciary in accordance with Customs Law No. 23 of 1984 as amended, Whereas, the re-issuance operations were (15) operations that were returned for violating import controls, while the Commission carried out (4) destructive operations for violating or expired consignments.
She added, "It has facilitated the entry of (120) tanks loaded with medical oxygen that have contributed to supporting hospitals to confront the Corona pandemic."
And she affirmed, "It continues to stand in the way of those evading customs duties and supporting the state treasury, away from the hands of the corrupt." Ended 29 / H
