    Central Bank of Iraq issues Visa cards

    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Central Bank of Iraq announced adopting the electronic payments of funds (Visa Cards) to limit the phenomena of carrying and dealing with cash.

    A statement by the CBI received by IraqiNews.com cited “The CBI adopted the Visa card system to develop the financial and banking sector and to create an atmosphere of competition among the different banking and financial establishments in Iraq.”

    The statement added “The new system will organize the work of the providers of the service and issuing licenses for them according to the law No. (4326) of 22 June 2014.” /End/

    Central Bank issued Services (Visa card) to reduce the phenomenon of carrying cash



    Follow-up - and babysit - Central Bank announced the issuance of a system of electronic payment services for money (Visa card) to reduce the phenomenon of pregnancy and money circulation.


    According to a statement of the bank, "the aim of developing financial and banking sector in Iraq and reducing the phenomenon of pregnancy and trading coins and create an atmosphere of competition between financial institutions through the provision of banking services Bank has adopted a new version of e-payment of funds."


    "The new system will organize the work of providers of payment services and licensing them have been published in the Gazette of the Iraqi issue No. (4326) of 23 June 2014." Q, Q

    Central Bank announces start using e-payment of funds


    Follow-up - and babysit - Central Bank of Iraq, about to start using e-payment of funds in the settlement of accounts and bank transfers between accredited institutions and individuals.

    CrediMax, the first credit card issuer and acquirer in the Kingdom of Bahrain in coordination with its partner, Global Payment Service (GPS), recently held a three-day training session on efficient card chargeback and brand settlement processing for the employees of Trade Bank of Iraq. 

    CrediMax Chief Executive, Yousif Ali Mirza said, “A part of our commitment is to elevate the card business industry in the Kingdom and by hosting such training session we aim to transfer our knowledge to the industry at large.” 

    “A chargeback request can occur at any time and is part of doing business, thus any credit card issuer and acquirer must be fully equipped with the knowledge of understanding, managing, processing and solving chargeback requests efficiently and preserve the goodwill of their customers. 

    “The training session illustrated each step of the chargeback process while citing the procedures, documentations and evidenced the card association deem most important while challenging a chargeback request. Live cases were used to demonstrate the techniques of solving a chargeback requested,” added Mirza 

    Ten employees from Trade Bank of Iraq took part in the workshop aimed at training them about the procedures and systems required to determine the outcome of actual compliance cases. The seminar covered all chargeback types and related issues using numerous case studies and teamwork exercises as well as card brand daily reconciliation and settlement.
