Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the ministry has nothing to do with issuing passports for those vaccinated with the epidemic, indicating that there are facilities for issuing passports.
The Director of Passports Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Ahmed Abdul Sattar, said in a statement by the Iraqi News Agency, which was followed by the Al-Naba Agency, that “we have nothing to do with the issuance of passports for those vaccinated with the epidemic,” expecting that “this will be a notebook issued by the Ministry of Health similar to the sailors’ passports issued by the Ministry Transport".
Abdul Sattar added, "Passport departments are continuing and have never closed, and whoever loses his documents, a passport will be issued for him based on the copy of the registration and the old documents for those who do not have new documents."
He pointed out, "This includes even those who do not possess a nationality certificate, nor any one who has holders, as we rely on a copy of registration after the person concerned submits a personal application to the Status Department, and then the passport transaction is promoted."
