A Pentagon spokesman refused to comment on the "The Daily Caller" report, which spoke of the United States ’intention to launch strikes against armed factions in Iraq.
In response to an inquiry, the spokesman said, "No comment" on the aforementioned report.
The "The Daily Caller" website had said in a report, Friday, that the Pentagon was planning to request President Joe Biden's approval to launch strikes against Iran-backed militias in Iraq, according to two sources familiar with the matter, according to the site.
One of them was quoted as saying that "the US administration is seriously looking into a wide range of responses to the armed factions' aggression against Americans in Iraq."
