"The latter received the German ambassador to Iraq, Ole Diel, on the occasion of the end of his duties."
During the meeting, Al-Kazemi stressed, "Iraq is looking forward to more constructive cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany and the rest of the European Union, in the interest of the Iraqi people, the people and the German, and praised the ambassador's efforts during his tenure in Iraq."
Al-Kazemi welcomed "the continuation of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Berlin in various economic, political and cultural fields, especially the work of German companies and investment in Iraq," stressing, "the government's endeavor to make Iraq an attractive factor by optimizing the investment environment and promoting stability leading to development and improving the living conditions of the citizen." .
For his part, Ambassador Diel conveyed, "The German government looks forward to developing relations with Iraq in a way that serves common interests," again "his government's approach in support of Iraq in facing the current challenges, the most important of which is economic reform and the war on terror."
