{International: Al Furat News} Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made serious statements about the presence of Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants in northern Iraq.

Erdogan said in a speech on Tuesday evening: "They will see and realize the reality of Turkey, which is determined to drain the swamp of Qandil (the PKK's stronghold in northern Iraq) so as not to spread the virus of terrorism again."
"Qandil and Makhmour [in northern Iraq] are incubators for terrorists, and if they are not cleansed, they will continue to spread violence," he added.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish army is launching continuous operations in northern Iraq by bombing and targeting sites of the Kurdistan Workers Party, which is classified as a terrorist in Turkey.
The war between the two sides led to the displacement of Kurdish villages in the Kurdistan region, in addition to Turkey cutting down forest trees, transporting and selling them amid rejection and denunciation from the regional government and Baghdad.
