    Baghdad and Aa- Wissam Al Mulla
    announced that the secretariat of Baghdad on Monday, an Iraqi official project to generate electricity from waste, as revealed by the special procedures.
    The director of solid waste and the environment in the secretariat, Thawra al-Dulaimi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Ministry of Electricity has a decision from the Ministerial Energy Council to purchase energy, electricity produced from waste, at encouraging prices," noting that "the secretariat issued books to the Ministry of Construction and Housing and the Governor of Baghdad to know the lands." valid for the construction of this project.
    She added, "The secretariat is awaiting a decision from the Ministry of Electricity to determine the tariff price," noting that "during setting the tariff price, a letter is supposed to be directed to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Municipality of Baghdad to work on the project."

    Al-Dulaimi indicated that "some contractors and investors applied to sort the waste, but the secretariat did not agree with them because its vision stipulates that the sorting be with the production of electric power," explaining that "the sorting is made of plastic, cardboard, metal materials and the rest of the organic materials that are burned to ferment them in an anaerobic way to produce energy." electrical".
