A statement by the Ministry of Water Resources, received by Mawazine News, stated, "Today, the visit of the Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Water Affairs, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, Minister of Water Resources to Turkey, which lasted for three days, concluded, as the last round of talks took place with the Turkish President's envoy for water affairs, Faysal Aroglu, which included the answer." He added, "The minister invited Aroglu and a team of Turkish specialists in water affairs to participate in the dam safety conference, which will be held during the month of October at the Mosul Dam," noting that "Aroglu expressed his welcome, explaining that he would send a team of Turkish experts to participate in the conference and be informed. on the Mosul Dam and the latest technologies used to ensure the safety of the dam.
Al-Hamdani expressed, according to the statement, his thanks to Aragolo for all the support and support provided by the Turkish side with regard to reaching a final agreement on water quotas and overcoming all obstacles related to the implementation of joint activities between the two countries.
