The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan confirmed, on Saturday, that the Turkish bombing has become a matter of concern to Iraq, while criticizing the government's silence despite the deaths and the destruction of entire villages.
Member of the National Union, Faeq Yazidi, said, in a televised interview, which was followed by "Mawazine News", that "the government's silence is caused by a state of Iraqi weakness in dealing with this file," explaining that "Iraq has many papers to deter the bombing and Turkish arrogance."
Yazidi added, "The government's silence paves the way for the implementation of the Turkish plan to occupy many areas of the country," calling on the Minister of Defense and the federal government to "take the necessary decisions to deal with the ongoing Turkish violations."
He explained, "Turkey is a country that occupies large areas inside Iraq," noting that "the meeting of Arab foreign ministers scheduled for this week will not bring anything new regarding the repeated Turkish bombing."
