The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs revealed the absence of a central database for the ministries’ employees, noting that this contributed to the delay in the detection of violators of protection salaries.
The head of the Social Protection Authority in the ministry, Huda Sajjad, said, "The ministry sent the names of the beneficiaries of the protection network to the Ministry of Commerce, since the issuance of the electronic ration card is within its competence," according to "Al-Sabah."
She added, "The ministry is in the process of developing a unified mechanism to open an electronic window through which applications can be submitted to ease the momentum on the rest of the commission's departments and according to the population ratios of each governorate, with priority given to the poorest."
"The ministry is moving towards digital transformation in line with the reform approach in order to diagnose errors and treat them in order to serve the citizen," Sajjad affirmed.
And she indicated that "meetings are continuing with the World Bank to complete the project to unify and develop the database of protection network subsidies beneficiaries and link it with state institutions, which will allow the ministry to detect those who have abused those salaries, and prevents the waste of beneficiaries' money."
She pointed out that "the lack of a central database for ministries' employees, contributed to the delay in the detection of violators of protection salaries," revealing "a plan to rehabilitate and develop the social protection system and implement a project to unify and develop the ministry's database and networking, as a contribution to excluding emergency and violators of the system."
