Oil compensates for some of its losses and rises in global markets

Oil prices regained some losses, today, Wednesday, after sharp declines in the previous session, as major producers prepare to discuss how to respond to the threat of a blow to fuel demand from the Omicron mutator.
West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 78 cents, or 1.2 percent, to $66.96 a barrel at 0122 GMT, after falling 3.9 percent on Tuesday.
Brent crude futures rose $1.01, or 1.5 percent, to $70.24 a barrel, after falling 5.4 percent on Tuesday.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) meets on Wednesday before Thursday's meeting of OPEC+, which includes OPEC and allies including Russia.
