    {Local: Al Furat News} The World Health Organization launched the largest vaccination campaign in Iraq, with an amount of three million dollars allocated for it, aimed at vaccinating 40% of the age groups in order to raise vaccination rates that are still below the level of ambition, while it advised against imposing restrictions to confront Omicron.
    The representative and head of the World Health Organization mission in the country, Dr. Ahmed Zouiten, said, in a press interview, that "the Iraqi Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization have prepared for the possibility of entering a new mutator or the fourth wave of the epidemic, especially after the onset of winter," noting that "the delay in reaching higher rates." Vaccination helps the possibility of the entry of new mutants and the greater spread of the virus.”
    And on the effectiveness of vaccines against the new mutated (Omicron), between Zouiten it was "premature to talk about the effectiveness of the vaccine in confronting the new mutated and freedoms for us to focus on the fight against the virus and the other most prevalent in Iraq Alturat which proved the vaccine to be effective in prevention and confront" .
