{Political: Al Furat News} The pace of dialogues between the coordination framework and the Sadrist movement is accelerating, as well as other blocs, amid expectations that an agreement will be reached before the new parliament session, which is scheduled to be held on the ninth of this month.
The leader of the State of Law coalition, and a member of the Coordination Framework, Muhammad al-Sihoud, said in a press statement, "The next few days will witness the holding of a third important meeting between the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, and the leaders of the coordinating framework forces."
Chihod added, "This meeting may be [Nuri] al-Maliki's participation in, as he is the leader of the largest coordinating framework forces within the Iraqi parliament, in terms of the number of parliamentary seats."
He pointed out that "the coordinating framework forces are insisting on forming a consensus government in which everyone will participate. This matter is supported by all Sunni and Kurdish political forces. It is not possible to form a majority government whose goal is to exclude parties without others."
He continued, "The coordination framework can also form the government by forming the largest bloc, but he wants the Sadrist movement to participate in this government, as it is an important political party in the political process in Iraq."
Chihod explained that "the dialogues and meetings during the contacts, or the direct meeting between the Sadrists and the coordination framework, are continuing, and aim to reach an agreement and quick consensus before the Iraqi parliament convenes its first session. ".
