The representative of the State of Law coalition, Aref Al-Hamami, confirmed, Saturday, January 15, 2022, the rejection of the categorical coordinating framework for the nomination of Hoshyar Zebari for the position of the presidency, by the Kurdish component.
Al-Hamami said in a statement, that the coordinating framework is now in the process of alliances, and if its pillars are completed by transparent methods, political ethics and political honor, then the names will be discussed and approved, indicating that an understanding will be reached until satisfactory and acceptable names for all are reached.
He added: We wonder where the yeller who denounces the saying that the experimenter does not try, stressing that we will be the first to reject the nomination of Zebari for the presidency.
Disagreements are currently taking place within the Kurdish House over the selection of a candidate for the presidency of the Iraqi Republic. The National Union Party nominates Barham Salih, while the Democratic Party is waving to nominate Hoshyar Zebari for the position if the Union continues on Saleh.
On Monday, the House of Representatives announced the opening of candidacy for the post of President of the Republic of Iraq, stressing the conditions that the candidates must meet.
