Shafaq News/ The coordination framework, which brings together the Shiite political forces, revealed, on Sunday, an undisclosed matter related to the Iraqi Parliament's voting session to reopen the nomination for the post of President of the Republic.
The leader in the framework, MP Muhammad Al-Sihoud, told Shafak News Agency, "The talk about the tripartite coalition having an absolute majority in Parliament is incorrect, and it is far from the truth and reality."
He added that "the Iraqi parliament's vote session on reopening the nomination for the position of President of the Republic, most of the deputies of the coordination framework voted on this opening the door for nomination, but there are deputies from the framework who refused to reopen the door for nomination."
Chihod indicated that "the coordinating framework forces did not direct their deputies to reject or accept this matter, but rather gave the deputies the freedom to vote on reopening the nomination for the position of President of the Republic, or rejecting it, but the majority supported this matter, and the majority that was yesterday, is the most for the frame's deputies." And not just the Triple Alliance.
Yesterday, Saturday, the Iraqi Council of Representatives held a session in the presence of the Presidency of the Council and 265 deputies, during which a vote was taken to open the nomination for the post of the President of the Republic, and 203 deputies voted in favor of the decision, while 62 deputies refused to open the candidacy again.
And this session was held by the decision of the Federal Supreme Court, last Tuesday, which ruled that it was unconstitutional to reopen the candidacy by the Presidency of Parliament, without a decision to be voted on by the majority of the members of the Council.
