The presidencies congratulated the women of Iraq on the occasion of International Women's Day, recognizing their right to formulate the Iraqi political decision.
The Presidency of the Republic published a tweet to President Barham Salih, in which he said: "A salute of honor and appreciation for the great role of Iraqi women, as we restore with her a bright history of struggle, construction, sacrifice and education, and her earnest quest to obtain her legitimate rights to contribute to building the country, its progress and prosperity."
Saleh added that "women are half of society, and mother to the other half, they are the whole of society."
