On Sunday, independent politician Saad Al-Mutalibi explained the reasons for the government's insistence and some political blocs to pass the Aqaba project before dismissing the caretaker government.

Al-Mutalibi said in a statement to the "Information" agency, "The insistence of the government and some political blocs to pass the Aqaba project before isolating the caretaker government came with American orders to deliver Iraqi oil to Jordan and to go directly to the Zionist entity to enjoy Iraq's oil."
He added, "The Aqaba pipeline had its justifications at that time when Iraq was besieged by ISIS and its security situation was very weak, and experts believed that the expansion towards Jordan and Aqaba might be the best of the worst, but now it is not necessary."
