Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein called, on Thursday, to enhance prospects for cooperation in the field of investment and trade exchange between Iraq and Australia.
And the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of it, that "Hussein met the Australian Ambassador to Iraq, Paula Elizabeth Canley, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the two sides discussed the bilateral relations linking the two countries, and the importance of developing them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples. They also discussed support for exchange in international forums and conferences.
Hussein called, according to the statement, to "enhance prospects for cooperation in the field of investment and trade exchange between the two countries through the entry of Australian investors and businessmen to Iraq, and to learn about investment opportunities."
For her part, Ambassador Kanley affirmed her country's continued assistance and support in many fields, and its desire to activate memoranda of cooperation between the two countries to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
