    Twilight news, the White House said that President Barack Obama told Congress that approved the u.s. air strikes on Iraq to help regain control of the Mosul Dam, which the statement said is consistent with Obama's protection of American citizens in Iraq.

    altThe White House said in a statement obtained by the news, "Twilight" the Mosul crashes can threaten the lives of large numbers of civilians and threatens us personnel and installations-including the u.s. Embassy in Baghdad-the Iraqi Government barred from providing vital services for the Iraqi population. "

    "These operations are limited in nature, duration and scope, and carried out in cooperation with the Government of Iraq at its request."

    And the Mosul Dam, the largest dam in Iraq is in the hands of terrorists daash earlier this month. And can give control of the dam these terrorists the ability to flood the cities and cutting vital water and electricity supplies.

    The US central command said Sunday that the United States launched a second day of air strikes against terrorists daash near the dam by using fighter planes and bombers and assault drones.

    The strikes launched on Sunday the 14 strike damaged or destroyed 10 armed vehicles and seven vehicles Humvees and armoured personnel for Islamic State in addition to armed checkpoint. These attacks were followed by nine air attacks launched by the United States on Saturday.

    I would think the air strikes could hit the damn also and then flood the area.

    Anything is possible, but there hundreds of thousands of bombs dropped in 91 and in 2003. Highly unlikely American weapons would miss by so much.

    The plan is probably to take out support vehicles and starve them to death or surrender, which ever they prefer.
