    On Wednesday, the Kurdistan Regional Government announced that it had taken several measures to control gasoline prices within 72 hours.
    Government spokesman Jotiar Adel said during a press conference, "According to the directives of the head of the regional government, many fees and taxes will be raised for companies importing gasoline," noting that "the regional government is working to subsidize gasoline to reduce its prices."
    He added, "The regional government will work to provide all facilities for companies to import gasoline," noting that "we assure citizens that we are working to end the crisis of high gasoline prices within the next 72 hours."
