Belarus says Poland carried out mass executions of Iraqi refugees
Shafaq News/ The Belarusian authorities said that they had handed over an Iraqi delegation visiting the capital, Minsk, evidence and information regarding secret mass executions carried out by the Polish army against Iraqi refugees on the Belarusian-Polish border.
In a report published on its website, the Belarusian Commission of Inquiry said that the Iraqi delegation was provided with the findings of the investigations with a Polish soldier about mass executions and a secret burial of refugees killed by the Polish army in the border region, according to Russian media.
The information obtained by the Iraqi side from the investigation committee also included information and materials on the progress and results of the investigation in the criminal case of crimes against humanity, propaganda for war and deliberately endangering the lives of others.
The report stressed that the "crimes" committed by the Polish army against refugees, when they crossed the border to other countries in the European Union, were "on the basis of race, nationality and nationality."
The report documented what it described as "criminal acts" against 135 Iraqis who were injured as a result of the violence by the Polish security forces.
According to the report, the Belarusian Commission of Inquiry is looking into three cases related to bodily harm and illegal expulsion from the territory of the European Union to Belarus, which resulted in the killing of a refugee of Iraqi origin last year.
The refugee crisis between Belarus and the European Union erupted after European sanctions were imposed on Belarus, which was accused of practicing "brutal repression" against the opposition.
The European Union accused Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of coordinating the arrival of the wave of migrants and refugees to the eastern side of the EU border, in response to the sanctions imposed against his country.
