Kerry, Nujaifi Discuss Latest Developments In The Formation Of The Next Government

BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of Muttahidoon Coalition, Osama al-Nujaifi confirmed that " there are some who are blocking efforts to negotiate the formation of the next government for the purpose of preventing the rights' owners to meet their demands."
A statement of the Office of Nujaifi quoted him as saying during a telephone conversation with U.S Secretary of State, John Kerry today: "We are working diligently to complete the formation of the government, and the national program, which includes the demands and rights of the provinces has been completed and this program promotes national unity through a government of partnership verify the true concept of reconciliation and openness and exceeded mistakes of the past. "
He made it clear that "the issue of the formation of the government is not free from obstruction and attempts to sabotage efforts to negotiate performed by some persons for purposes of foil these negotiations to prevent rights' holders to meet their demands."
For his part, Kerry said, " there is no substitute for a government of national partnership in which everyone participates and achieves true reconciliation", adding that "the United States and the world are pursuing this matter and support Iraq and they are awaiting the formation of the government and the implementation of its national program."
He explained that "the United States is serious in providing all forms of support to Iraq, which is linked to the formation of the new government to be a government of national partnership with a national program to achieve a change in the old policies and promotes the concept of reconciliation."
The political blocs are currently conducting dialogues and consultations in order to reach a satisfactory formula for the formation of the next government, which the candidate of the National Alliance, Haidar al-Abadi assigned to form it. / End
