    The Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, discussed with the Executive Director of the Korean Daewoo Company (Jung Wan Baek) the works carried out in the port of Al-Faw and the percentages of achievement achieved.
    The General Manager said, "The company's vision began to be clear after completing the completion rates in the first phase, and it exceeds the plan to transform the Faw district from an area that depends on small trade to a regional center that occupies the forefront in the maritime and regional sectors, trade and shipping."
    He stressed that "the percentage of completion has exceeded (26%) in one of the projects, and we are preparing to announce the next stage, and this requires us to overcome all difficulties and exchange views in order to reach the full receipt of the project before the scheduled date."
    He called for "accelerating the implementation of the five projects and shifting to implementing the first part of the second phase, which is the construction of oil berths and other berths."
    For his part, the director of the Korean (Daewoo) company (Jung Wan-bak) said that "the projects in the great port of Faw are proceeding at a high rate and according to the time schedules prepared for them and according to the plans set."
