A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Muhammad Nuri Aziz, revealed today, Thursday, that the federal budget for 2023 will amount to more than 210 trillion dinars.

Aziz said, "One of the priorities of the next year's budget is to launch appointments for the degrees of deletion and creation, in addition to the infrastructure for which very large sums will be allocated in the regional development program and may reach more than 8 trillion dinars for the first time in the history of the country's budgets after 2003."

He added, "The allocated funds will flow to the projects of the Ministries of Construction and Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, Electricity, Planning, Labor and Social Affairs, especially for the benefit of the poor and the Social Welfare Program," noting that "the sums allocated to these sectors will be very high due to the presence of financial abundance, and the priority of the current government that It was described as a "service government" within the platform of Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani.

Aziz pointed out that "good funding will be provided for the next year's budget due to financial abundance and the rise in oil prices due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, which gives Parliament the freedom to increase allocations for another group of groups."

And he continued, "The next year's budget will exceed the barrier of 210 trillion dinars based on the actual need of the country, especially since the year 2022 did not witness a vote on the budget, which led to rotating degrees of deletion and creation, in addition to the existence of significant allocations for the security services and their needs."
